Academic Partnerships
St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN has been a partner with the UAC-CP since 2000.. In the past, faculty and students from both institutions conducted an extensive health survey of the communities served by UAC-CP’s extension program, with follow-up studies, under the auspices of a Fulbright Scholarship. St. Catherine librarians have also worked with UAC-CP's duel libraries to help train staff and implement an organized system. The institutions are currently exploring opportunities for joint projects that focus on public health nursing and English as a Second Language instruction. A partnership with the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) was finalized in April 2006. Through a grant to Carmen Pampa Fund, faculty and students from UWRF have helped to organize UAC-CP’s English as a Foreign Language program. UWRF graduates who have chosen to volunteer at the College after graduation have played an integral role in the success of the UAC-CP's Ecotourism Department.
