Partnerships and Collaboration Both Carmen Pampa Fund and the College recognize the
Academic Partnerships South Dakota State University (SDSU);Brookings, SD was theCollege's first academic partner, dating back to the founding of the UAC-CP in 1993. Exchanges with SDSU over this time have Since 2000, St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN has been a partner with the UAC-CP. In the past, faculty and students from both institutions conducted an extensive health survey of the communities served by UAC-CP’s extension program, with follow-up studies, under the auspices of a Fulbright Scholarship. St. Catherine librarians have also worked with UAC-CP's duel libraries to help train staff and implement an organized system. The institutions are currently exploring opportunities for joint projects that focus on public health nursing and English as a Second Language instruction. A partnership with the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UW-RF) was finalized in April 2006. Through a grant to Carmen Pampa Fund, faculty and students from UW-RF have helped to organize UAC-CP’s English as a Foreign Language program. UW-RF graduates who have chosen to volunteer at the College after graduation have played an integral role in the success of the UAC-CP's Ecotourism Department.
