Carmen Pampa Fund's Impact

Carmen Pampa Fund works to support the College in Bolivia in various ways. Here are a few of the ways in which we have had an impact:
Some recient scholarship recipients

Student Scholarships

Carmen Pampa Fund's Scholarship Partners Program provides full and partial scholarships for students at the College.  The scholarships, which cover tuition, room, and board, help students who demonstrate scholastic achievement, extreme financial need, and strong moral character.  Students also are expected to complete 120 service hours per semester in order to maintain their scholarship.

Curriculum Development Funding

In 2009, Carmen Pampa Fund was awarded a grant from Seiben Foundation to fund the College's English and Ecotourism--Foundations for the Future project. The project has resulted in a new, universal English curriculum implemented at the College in February 2010. The project has also renewed the academic relationship with St. Catherine University.

Facility Construction Funding

In 2009, the College inaugurated the new faculty housing building.  Funded by Charisma Foundation, the new housing provides living accommodations for full-time and part-time faculty and staff--some of whom live full-time at the College and some of whom commute from Bolivia's capital city of La Paz.

Strategic Planning Assistance

In 2008, Carmen Pampa Fund developed the Joint Planning and Oversight Council (JPOC). The JPOC is charged with ensuring maximum effectiveness in securing financial and human resources for the UAC-CP.

The Council, which meets twice a year, serves as a way to cultivate the partnership between Carmen Pampa Fund and the College.  Together, JPOC members (who represent CPF, the UAC-CP, Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, and the Bolivian business community), make joint, long-term organizational plans that are consistent with the mission and strategic vision of Carmen Pampa Fund and the College.
